The UEA’s report, ‘Invisible Innovators', making women filmmakers visible across the UK’s Film Archives is now available. It has been commissioned by Film Archives UK to explore the current scale and scope of the holdings of women’s amateur filmmaking within the regional and national film and media archives and to investigate ways of optimising their visibility. 6.3.20

Workshops for understanding Archive Film
Designed for anyone wishing to better understand Archive Film.
A one day practical workshop, delivered by Huntley Film Archives, on how to preserve, access and use archive film is being held at the BFI, Stephen St. London. This programme is supported by Creative Skillset’s Film Skills Fund, which is funded by the BFI with National Lottery, through the Skills Investment Fund.
The workshops are open to anyone wishing to get a better understanding of Archive Film:
Production professionals aiming to manage in-house film resources.
Heritage professionals, archivists and curators who are seeking to utilise historical archive footage.
On Monday 3rdORMonday 24th October 2016 from 0930 – 1700 at the BFI, Stephen Street, London
Maximum 12 participants per workshop. The course content will be identical on both dates.
